Coming back to necromancy, need tips for a Curses build.
I'm sick of being a ritualist. I decided to come back to being a necromancer, and I dusted off my old PvP-only curses necro I made around the time I started.
This was his skillbar:
[Arcane Echo][spiteful spirit][soul barbs][parasitic bond][insidious parasite][chilblains][enfeebling blood][resurrection signet]
I don't like it. SS is rather boring, I'd like to use a lesser-known curses elite. [Depravity] looks nice.
Reccomendations?

I find [Rip Enchantments] better then chilblains, as your foe starts bleeding instead. Arcane Echo, rather pointless imo, I use [Necrosis] and [Signet of Corruption] along with [Suffering]. Sig of corruption and suffering make a good combo, and also works well with Feast of corruption, but I like SS more. Also, Enfeebling Blood, I don't use and do great in PvE.
If you want to change your elite, go with either [Feast of Corruption], as said, or [Corrupt Enchantment] or, for changing attirbutes, a blood build with [Life Transfer] or [Spoil Victor] or [Soul Leech] is good.

Unfortunately, [Depravity] is nigh useless in PvE because energy denial doesn't work well at all vs monsters.
[Wail of Doom] allows you to basically render 1 enemy in a group useless when echoed, or shutdown any healing long enough to kill the target, so its useful in a few places.
[Feast of Corruption] is a decent damage skill, though conditionally activated hexes can perform far better under specific circumstances
[Assassin's Promise] is probably the best elite in a coordinated group (or h/h that are following calls) When paired with [Barbs]and[Mark of Pain] you slice through enemies like a knife through butter. Can also be paired with [Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] which is recharged by Assassin's Promise and the assassin is great at triggering barbs and mark of pain.
I would definitely recommend you take [Barbs] and [Mark of Pain] even if you aren't using Assassin's promise, replace soul barbs, parasitic bond, insidious, or chiliblains depending on what you feel is least useful. Also, if you have a decent sunspear rank take [Necrosis] which is good to use as filler while your more powerful spells are recharging.

Umm... so you cast the incredibly weak [Suffering] whose degen is terribly weak in a PvE fight, then you cast [Signet of Corruption] which at best will probably just make your weak suffering a free spell? You can use those 2 slots better. [Enfeebling Blood] is quite possibly the strongest non-elite defense against physical damage in PvE outside of PvE only skills. Taking enemies which normally do 100-150 damage per attack down to 30-50 damage per attack is huge. Also, [Life Transfer] sucks, [Soul Leech] is mediocre, and [Spoil Victor] isn't that great against anything other then end game bosses with 10k health.

Why is everyone talking about pve and pve skills when he said it's for his pvp-ONLY necro?

I'm making a PvE necromancer, I just used my PvP one to regain my touch for the class.
[Feast of Corruption] it is. I'm guessing I should use it with [suffering], right?

Are you dissing my favorite cover hex? Although, pve monsters are often too cool to bring hex removal...
EDIT: This is my skillbar:
[Feast of corruption][suffering][soul barbs][insidious parasite][parasitic bond][barbs][enfeebling blood][death pact signet]

Assuming you don't have access to PvE skills yet, Spiteful Spirit is a somewhat good choice although it can be boring.
imo [skill]Assassin's Promise[/skill] is the best elite a pve nec can use when combined with some of those powerful long-recharging pve skills.
Your first bar looks a little alright, could use some changes:
I'd drop P-Bond as hex removal isn't very common in pve. If you do want a cover hex, Defile Defenses is a better choice.
Rip Enchantment over Chillblains, though enchants usually arn't a problem in pve.
Barbs over Soul Barbs.
If you can get Necrosis, even with a low Sunspear rank, it pretty much outclasses every direct-damage spell a nec has.
FoC isn't a good elite, but if you really wanna use it, bring Shadow of Fear or Meekness to meet it's req - Suffering really does nothing in pve.

If using Assassin's Promise and wanting enchantment removal, Rend Enchantments is the strongest single-target choice. (Actually Expunge Enchantments is even better but requires more intelligent play.)
